This project sits in the shadows of our current global genocides; the Palestines, the Wegurs, the Eritreans, the Sudanes, the Congeles, the Armenians, the Javan Rhinos, the African Elephant, the Vaquita, the Amazon, etc.

We are experiencing the unpleasant reality of an imperialism that has globalized the concept of monetary value everyone/everything has a price whether high or low and it changes based on the needs of power. From my vantage point as a Latina, well traveled, versed in central america, and immigrating to the USA, I’ve witnessed the consequences of the supply chains that fuel these erasures on both ends and at every link. Trabis is a space to develop a lexicon in the circus arts to tell those stories.
